A Gasfitter installs, inspects, repairs and maintains gas lines and gas fired equipment in residential, commercial, industrial, institutional and agricultural settings. They also service, repair, remove and replace gas-fired equipment and components of gas-fired equipment such as burners, valves and automatic controls. A gasfitter demonstrates knowledge of applicable acts, legislation, codes, and regulations; manufacturer’s recommendations and specifications; and company policies and procedures.
