Marchand, Joseph Ronald – Age 81 of Halifax, passed away January 21, 2025 at home.
Born in Halifax, he was a son of the late Amedee and Stella (Sampson) Marchand.
Ron was a member of Local 56 Plumbers Union. He loved hunting, fishing and being in the outdoors.
He was a loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather and will always be missed by children, Charlene (Craig), Stephen (Marie), Lisa; grandchildren, Thomas (Sonya), Chad (Cassandra), Samantha (Chris), Joseph (Leah), Amanda (Roger), Nicholas (Danielle), Sarah (Cameron), Riley, Shannon; 15 great-grandchildren; brothers, Doug (Donna), Gary (Bonnie); sisters, Betty, Diane, Jean (Clarence); and sister-in-law, Carol Ann.
He was predeceased by wife, Claudette; sisters, Evelyn (Basil); brothers, Carl (Verl), Ray (Joan), Roy; brothers-in-law, Bill and Arthur.
Cremation has taken place.
Funeral mass will be held Tuesday at 1 p.m. in St. John Vianney Catholic Church, Lower Sackville.
Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to Lung Association of Nova Scotia.
