Elevated Work Platform
Required for members who are working in scissor lifts and zoom booms.

This course is designed for participants who enter, may be required to enter, or supervise a confined space where there is limited or restricted methods of entry and exit.

Fall Protection 1 Basic
This course is designed for participants who work, plan, or supervise work areas where fall protection is required. Participants will learn the different types of fall protection, how to identify and control fall hazards, how to complete fall protection safe work plans, and how to select, inspect, and fit full body harnesses.

Introductory Pressure Pipe Welding
This 60 hour introductory level program is intended for members who wish to learn basic SMAW pipe welding techniques. Students must have prior SMAW welding experience, at a minimum 4 position CWB SMAW certification and may be required to demonstrate welding skills to an instructor prior to registration.
Course date: Starts on Sept 8 and will be held Tuesday and Thursday nights from 5-8 pm and every other Saturday 8 am-2 pm

Heritage Course
This 4 hour course is compulsory for all new members. Students will learn the history of unionism, the UA Standard for Excellence and their responsibility as union members.

This certification course is intended to teach members how to safely operate both telehandlers and forklifts.

Fire Pump 2
This 8 hour course will focus on fire pump inspection & annual testing. Topics that will be covered include: requirements for proper fire pump inspection, procedures for annual testing, safe use of testing equipment, plotting test results, completing associated documents, in addition to basic trouble shooting.

This 8 hour course will review the types of hydrants along with the installation, repair, maintenance, inspection, and testing procedures.

Fire Pump 1 Introduction to Fire Pumps
This 12 hour course is for members with limited or no experience installing fire pumps. Topics to be covered include: fire pump theory, types of pumps and applications, basic hydraulic calculations, installation & acceptance test requirements and related codes.

Prerequisite: completed at least Level 2 Sprinkler training or journeypersons
