Gordon Arthur Butler, 65, passed away on June 27, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. He was an amazing husband, a good friend, and a great father and grandfather. Our hearts are forever broken.
Gordie was predeceased by his Mom and Dad, Alice and Arthur. He is survived by his wife Deb, his partner in life and best friend; his son Mark, whom he loved beyond words and was so proud of; his step-daughter Julie, whom he loved like a daughter from day one; his grandchildren Melanie and Trevor, he was their Grampy and he loved them dearly; son-in-law Jamie, with whom he shared many drinks and laughs; his brothers, Allan and Arthur Martin, his sister Debbie and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Gordie had a special bond with his siblings. They are missing their brother today and always.
Gordie was lucky to have had some very close friends in his life who loved him deeply, and I know he loved you all back. So many good memories to hold onto. Gordie was a plumber by trade for 40 years, he had a strong work ethic and worked for over 20 years at Bremner’s, where he made life-long friends who cared deeply for him. Thank you all, I know it meant a lot to him and he loved you all back.
Gordie will be missed by all the people who loved and knew him. Gordie, we’ll save you a drink and have the campfire burning.
A Funeral Service will be held at J. Albert Walker Funeral Home, 149 Herring Cove Road on Saturday, July 6 at 6:00 PM with a reception to follow.
